About

This site was created by Matteo Farinella, during his fellowship as Presidential Scholar in Society and Neuroscience (2016-2019), in which he studied comics as a tool of science communication.

Both comics about science and empirical research about comics have been growing in number, but finding them remains difficult, and rarely one is informed by the other. The main goal of this website is to collect this diverse material and increase the visibility of the many talented authors working at the intersections of science and comics. The hope is to foster collaboration and support the emerging community of science cartoonists.
